Gather was a gorgeous unforgettable day… living in our hearts through the beautiful words of all of the lineup of Christian women leaders and a venue full of sisters from across this nation. I was awe-inspired by God’s presence and the movement that is being stirred in this country through the brilliance, humour, pains and passion of each beautifully unique person that participated. I was blessed to have met so many people and have them share how they were motivated and inspired to create a movement of change in their homes, communities, workplaces, churches and families as a result of my story and this Gather Women day! So many opened their hearts and as a result my heart AND my inbox J overfloweth. I love hearing your stories and your questions on reconciliation in this nation.
We learn through story, inspiring, motivating, educating and walking alongside one another… “The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD, OUR CREATOR establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 There is a voice inside of you that whispers all day long, no teacher, preacher, parent, friend or wise man can decide what’s right for you – just listen to that voice that speaks inside – awaken the warrior and share your story. The Bible never once says, “figure it out.” But over and over it ways, “Trust Our Creator.” He’s already got it figured out. I am a better me as a result of this experience! I am so excited to join the Gather Women and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for the next event!
“Take the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breath! Test it’s lengths! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.” - Ephesians 3:18-20

I am so grateful to have met Kallie at Gather this weekend. To be honest, she gave me a big gift and she likely didn't even know the impact of her words. At one point during the afternoon, Kallie turned to me and said, I have something for you. She handed me a small coin with an angel on one side and the word "love" on the other side. This is for you, she said. This is for the gift of your VOICE. I have been on a journey out of silence ... a journey towards sound and finding voice. Speech is a marker of liberation. O, if she only knew how I have wrestled in the quiet for this. When she said "voice," I gasped. It was the blessing I had been longing for. It was a blessing I needed. On the eve of my 44th birthday, I was blessed by my sister from Saskatchewan. It was like when the angel touched the prophet's lips in Isaiah and said, "See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven." What a GIFT our words can be to each other. What a gift.

Kallie, it has been a pleasure to get to know you this weekend. It is such a beautiful thing to meet others and feel an instant connection to one another around a common purpose. I love Big Vision but have a heart for the details of how we get there one step at a time. Your Big Vision for reconciliation is so beautiful and necessary in Canada and your passion for it is imprinted on your heart as God opens doors for you to bring it into being one conversation, one connection at a time. Enjoy a beautiful day my friend.
